An Act To Amend Section 27-7-15, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Revise The Definition Of The Term “gross Income” Under The State Income Tax Law To Exclude Amounts Received As Loans, Advances And/or Grants Under The Federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, And Economic Security (cares) Act; To Exclude Any And All Cancelled Indebtedness Provided For Under The Cares Act; To Exclude Amounts Received As Payments Under Section 4 Of Senate Bill No. 2772, 2020 Regular Session; To Exclude Amounts Received As Grants Under The 2020 Covid-19 Mississippi Business Assistance Act; To Amend Section 11, Senate Bill No. 2772, 2020 Regular Session, To Provide That There Shall Not Be Allowed A Deduction For Otherwise Deductible Payments Paid With Funds Received Under The Paycheck Protection Program (ppp) Established By The Cares Act, But Only To The Extent Those Payments Are Not Allowed As Deductions For Federal Income Tax Purposes; And For Related Purposes.
An Act To Provide That The Department Of Finance And Administration Shall Establish Annual Goals For Service-connected Disabled Veteran-owned Small Business Participation In State Contracts And Procurements; To Provide That In The Letting Of Public Contracts, Whenever All Things Stated In The Bids Are Substantially Equal With Regard To Quality And Service But Differ Only With Respect To Price, Preference Shall Be Given To Certified Service-connected Disabled Veteran-owned Small Businesses If The Aggregate Of The Prices In Bids Received From A Certified Service-connected Disabled Veteran-owned Small Business Is Not More Than Ten Percent Greater Than The Aggregate Of The Prices In Bids Received From Other Bidders; To Bring Forward Section 31-7-13, Mississippi Code Of 1972, Which Provides Certain Bid Requirements Relating To Pubic Purchases, For The Purposes Of Amendment; And For Related Purposes.
