AN ACT to make appropriations for the purpose of defraying the expenses of the state government for the fiscal years beginning July 1, 2021, and July 1, 2022, in the administration, operation and maintenance of the legislative, executive and judicial branches of the various departments, institutions, offices and agencies of the state; for certain state aid and obligations; for capital outlay, for the service of the public debt, for emergency and contingency; to repeal certain appropriations and any acts inconsistent herewith; to provide provisional continuing appropriations; and to establish certain provisions, limitations and restrictions under which appropriations may be obligated and expended. This act makes appropriations for the purposes described above for the fiscal years beginning July 1, 2021, and July 1, 2022.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 66, Chapter 28, relative to the Uniform Residential Landlord and Tenant Act.

As enacted, prohibits the governing body in a county in which the Uniform Residential Landlord and Tenant Act applies from enacting or enforcing regulations in conflict with, or in addition to, the Act; changes the applicability of the Act so that a county that is not under the Act now will not come under the Act even if the county’s population increases to be more than 75,000 in subsequent years. – Amends TCA Title 66, Chapter 28.

As enacted, establishes process for landlords to verify need of tenants and prospective tenants to have pet policies waived to accommodate the need for a service or support animal; creates penalties for misrepresentation. – Amends TCA Title 4, Chapter 21; Title 13, Chapter 20; Title 33; Title 39; Title 44, Chapter 17; Title 44, Chapter 8, Part 4; Title 63; Title 66 and Title 68.
